Instructional Coaches and Elective Educators is designed for grade 6–12 elective educators (e.g., art, world languages, music) and instructional coaches.

This training is not for teachers of the AVID Elective course. Educators will participate in Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading (WICOR®) instructional strategies through a hands-on approach to ensure students’ engagement, access to rigor, and college success.

Participants will engage in both synchronous and semi-synchronous learning. All strategies, digital activities, and digital tools experienced can be leveraged to connect with a diverse population of learners in face-to-face or virtual learning environments.
